September 2023: OPM received approval of the analysis of the NCs and the proposed action plans. The development and implementation of corrective actions began. OPM participated in the 25th edition of the BTM 2023 business roundtable, the most important in Central America and the Caribbean, which was attended by more than 550 exporters from Costa Rica and more than 350 foreign buyers. The event was opened by the President of Costa Rica.

August 2023: During the month, work was carried out on the corrective actions and analysis of the nonconformities found in the EN/AS 9100:2018 audit that was conducted in July. The root cause analysis, as well as the proposed action plans for the correction of NCs were submitted to AENOR, the certifying body.

July 2023: OPM has scheduled the audit for the recertification of its Quality Management System for the third week of the month. This is our second certification cycle and will be based on the international standard EN 9100:2018. The audit will be conducted by AENOR.

June 2023: OPM participated in the second edition of the “Encadenados” event, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica and AZOFRAS. This event, whose purpose is to generate new business opportunities among exporting companies within the Free Trade Zone regime, also included discussion forums, business rounds and networking spaces. The event was attended by more than 400 companies.​

March 2023: OPM successfully concluded its participation in the supply chain acceleration program developed by the Promotora de Comercio Internacional de Costa Rica in alliance with the Costa Rican Chamber of Industries and the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje (National Learning Institute). This program is a national initiative that seeks to incorporate SMEs that are producers of goods and services into the supply chains of leading companies in the advanced manufacturing sector established in Costa Rica. The program begins with a needs assessment of the fastest-growing industrial sectors and then focuses on raising the level of competitiveness of national SMEs so that they can be incorporated into the supply chains of tractor companies, thus maximizing opportunities to generate linkages between local SMEs and tractor companies.

February 2023: OPM puts into operation the OPM MetalSys program, which allows parts inventory control throughout the manufacturing process, production batch control, capture of production metrics, determination of efficiencies, as well as the generation of multiple reports for the monitoring of production operations.
